Drill number two. Long-short Crosscourt
Just like in long cross court training players will rally cross court but this time they will start on the deuce side wherein player A plays the ball deep while player B plays the ball short, in order for the ball to land near the outside corner of the service box.
Drill number three. Alternating Long short Crosscourt
Again players will rally crosscourt where the player plays the ball deep while the other player alternates between playing the ball deep and playing the ball short. Players should play this drill for a period of three minutes and then change tasks and sides as well. Thre is a more advanced version of this drill which is to let player B make the choice about when to go short or long depending on the ball received.
