Tips N Tricks to Play Tennis

Staying fit is a minimal requirement in tennis. But injuries are something which the majority of the tennis players are inflicted with at some or other point in their tennis life. And ninety percent of the times the injuries are related to the elbows. It is very important to play it right.

Playing it right, starts with picking up the appropriate tennis equipments. For example the racquet. (names of other equipments). Testing of racquets is also very important. Consult your trainer before pouring money onto it. Racquets form a very important part of tennis. So check out different angels and directions. Check out for the racquet with lesser vibration which gives you better grip. What leads to injury most of the times is, tennis players making the mistake of picking up the bigger sized racquet. The hitting area in the bigger sized racquet might be more but would lead to increased pressure and inevitably leading to elbow injury. The perfect racquet should be having a heavier handle but not overall heavy racquet and a flexible frame.

Starting your backhand from the shoulder and not the forearm always does the trick when you are starting your game of tennis.

Proper warm up before the game is a must. Warm activities like stretching     lead to increased blood flow and also mentally prepare you for the game.

During practice sessions take care of your hand and eye co-ordination.

There is one exercise in particular which is very easy to follow and very effective. It lets you serve a complete power stroke. During the exercising, start off with holding the handle properly and positioning yourself at around 5 feet from the machine. Keep your back straight but have a bent posture for the hips and knees. Properly follow through past your knee to hit the ball with full contraction. This leads your arm being in a parallel state with your upper-body. Repeat the same exercise with the same posture from the start. This will help you have explosive arm stroke.

People keep exercising for the upper body and neglect the rest of their body. The fact that the tennis players should be well aware of is that, its not just upper body. One has to take complete care of their abs, lower backs, and legs. Only when they work in co-ordination can you notice power stroke.

Always remember that your coach is there to guide your way through out the game of tennis. Starting from your grip hold to the racquet swings, from the daily exercise to the amount of weight you should lift, from what to eat and what not to eat, consult your coach. After all consulting would only enhance your tennis training and the clever tips and tricks will help make your game perfect.
